Presentation

Peru Phalanx (Spanish: Falange Perú) was a minor Peruvian political movement, which was modelled after the Spanish Phalanx. According to the records of its Web presence at the Internet Archive it was active from 2005 to 2012.

Flag description

Its flag, the image of which was shown at the movement website (Image) was derived from the national flag by adding a black emblem, composed of five arrows and a cross patty, to the center of the white stripe. While the arrows are borrowed from the Spanish Phalanx, the cross might be a reference to the Flag of the Race which is charged with three vaguely similar crosses, but also to the Blue Division, the Spanish volunteers' unit in  the German Army on the Eastern Front of World War II, whose emblem included an Iron Cross and five arrows (Image).
